@sallyjeffery@mastodon.scot @mattjohns@mastodon.social @afewbugs@social.coop I was at school 1959 onwards and knew a few schoolmates who were polio victims. I saw very few more than a year or two younger than me though. That vaccine was a true blessing, and given to the world rather than 'monetised'

@capnthommo @sallyjeffery @mattjohns @afewbugs I was too young for that, but in the early 80s I did have one of my favourite teachers, an older lady, who had the dreadful steel cage around her leg to walk, because she had Polio as a kid. I really don't understand why anyone wouldn't want vaccines...
