Some parts resonate. Personally I feel that using something like this is just building a tool/system that lets me put my attention on more important things. The issue I have though is that timers and alarms don't really give me a sense of the time passing, so much as suddenly surprise me as though I'm being yelled at with "THIS INSTANT YOU SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING ELSE AND YOU"RE WRONG IF YOU TRY TO FINISH OFF OR CONTINUE."
I like timers that show a gradually diminishing circle and automations that gradually dim lights to give me an intuitive sense of how much time I have left, not just a "ZERO TIME. NOW!!!!"
I think it's also a context shifting thing, which I've heard ADHD people often have more trouble with.

@Blort @actuallyadhd totally agree on the visual! I’m trying out this Disco Timer app that has the visual (not coloured ) and has a heroic sound when it goes off which I find motivating 🕺
