@Printdevil @Taskerland Definitely. Heck, it irritated me that when I moved to the Pacific Northwest, there were people who actually played TTRPGs, but they all wanted to do their coordination via Facebook and I could see the enshittification coming a mile away even a decade and a half ago.

@Printdevil @Taskerland It didn't help that they also all seem to think that the best way to meet new players is through organized play. Or that I lost most of them when I said that would be like trying to recruit for a pool league based on people's pinball performance. (Frankly, if one can't follow a metaphor like that, we are getting *nowhere* in our interactions anyway.)

I think there's some argument for a big session zero as a club for gamers, who don't game. Just a place for gamers to meet up and discuss games and meet gamers, with no expectation anyone is going to play at all. So people can meet other gamers and generally spur of and create groups. I have no idea how this would work as I am a misanthropic sociophobe. And increasingly deaf :) I do like the concept of "Session Zero writ large" though @pteryx @Taskerland
