But let's also stop bs'ing about solar saving us. You don't like gas station dictatorships and oil-fueled wars? Same. But do you know what's already happening in the name of getting the Rare Earth Elements needed for solar? Those places are even more poorly equipped to protect themselves.
Sorry, but everyone in the "developed" world is going to have to start using less energy if we care about the health of ecosystems and people. There's no magic wand to stop that.
