@Lats A lot of petrol stations apparently make their best profit rate selling food and drink, the margins on selling petrol are actually not great for the retailer. Or so I heard some years ago.

@bencourtice they do say that but like a lot of these things, it’s hard to say how accurate it is. Certainly the EV charging scenario gives the early mover a way to increase their income streams.
