@dragonarchitect seeing "FreeCAD" in the list is amusing to me because i found it so unusable for basic tasks that i spent five years and upwards of $15k of my own cash making an alternative CAD a reality

@whitequark After the third time AutoDesk burned me in my life I was like "Nah fuck this. Thrice you make a fool out of me." and I broke the cycle of capitalism abuse and forced myself to learn enough of FreeCAD to start doing at least some slightly more than basic stuff. I've not yet seriously poked at it after 1.0 dropped, though. I know there's been some workflow changes, UX overhauls, and the TNP finally got fixed in the main branch after carefully merging RealThunder's codebase in.
