@bass4dking While looking at post office info I discovered that Denmark recently stopped delivering letters entirely, relying mostly on digital communications.
Denmark is one of the most digitized countries in the world. The US is not. There are tens of millions of Americans, many of them low income and/or in remote areas, that do not have broadband service. I see the potential for e-mail posts, as long as we've achieved digital equity. Currently we are far from it. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg8jllq283o

@Barbramon1 Another factoid from a few years ago is that there were a significant number of citizens/residents who can only be reached by US Mail. Acknowledging the many rural areas in our country, I suspect that is still true.
