@Barbramon1 Great point about the USPS. Several years ago I promoted the idea within my small circle that the USPS should offer a Certified E-mail Service, with a national directory. It would include a small delivery charge (like a "stamp"), negligible to individual users, but enough to deter SPAM. I still think it is a good idea.

    @bass4dking While looking at post office info I discovered that Denmark recently stopped delivering letters entirely, relying mostly on digital communications. Denmark is one of the most digitized countries in the world. The US is not. There are tens of millions of Americans, many of them low income and/or in remote areas, that do not have broadband service. I see the potential for e-mail posts, as long as we've achieved digital equity. Currently we are far from it. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckg8jllq283o
