Next we can consider similar but distinct categories of mistakes:
Type 1 mistake: Absolutely a mistake
Type 2 mistake: A mistake in hindsight, but given the situation and information that was known at the time, the choice was the correct one to make.
Type 3 mistake: Not a mistake, but a favorable result that is different from the expected result.
In all cases the result needs to be different from the expectation for any of these to apply.

@rachel does that... Hmm. Does that mean that if I stay up all night reading comic books, and then suffer dreadfully the next day, but I knew and expected that I was going to suffer dreadfully the next day, then no mistakes have been made?
