Solved the CatchyOS debacle. Now that I know, it should have been the first thing I thought of. There was a kernel update. I rolled back the kernel and blacklisted it from updates for the time being. I still think that Snapper is needlessly confusing to use. I'd rather use Timeshift, but they both can't be installed at the same time. One more thing for me to learn...

@wendigo@metalhead.club Snapper is initially daunting, to use as it is only a system partition backup tool...It has saved my bacon more than once, let me use my system to fix a problem caused by either myself or a bad update. ROFL I like that it takes little snapshots before a change is made, and after a change is made. So a user can see all the changes that were made in each snapshot and figure out what might have went wrong (if something did). If I ever need to troubleshoot, I'll keep Kernel updates as a potential cause as well!
