I'm... so tired. I'm so tired lately that it took me weeks to decide whether or not I want to be in Berlin for my birthday weekend, even though I'd been entertaining this idea for the last year 😭 I'm completely paralysed at the thought of making any decision at the moment. I just want someone to come here & handle all the decision-making for me for the next 3–6 months 😭 Does anyone feel the same? Is this just ... life? Or is this the cost of having constant information thrown at you 😩

  • Birthdays are a big, emotional thing for me. I don't really want to make a big deal out of them, because “it's just a birthday”, but I love celebrating other people & making them feel special. When I was a kid, my parents forgot my birthday once and I never thought it was a big deal (they laughed it off) until I became a mom and realised that I would never in a million years forget my child's birthday. So this year I wanted to do something spontaneous with my daughter but also...I'm tired

@alicetragedy as a fellow homebody, I feel ya. I just would rather stay home and cozy up with loved ones or a good book. Hmm. What about inviting a couple Berlin friends to come to you? Like you provide the train ticket, and they handle the logistics so you don't need to get bogged down in details?

@alicetragedy yeah your description of it ks exactly what put me in that frame of mind! Pizza in the train hotel sounds pretty darned fun to me anyway.

@alicetragedy lowkey, at least sometimes, i think i can relate. especially planning things long in advance feels really difficult - like how would i know if i'll have the capacity to, idk, travel or go to an event in multiple months' time?
