@denisedwheeler.bsky.social I am no longer astonished that 40 million is just 4% of a billion. Jeff Bezos has a net worth of about 250 Billion - so 40 million is about 0.016% of his net worth. If you earn 100k per year, that's the equivalent of about 16 dollars, or a couple of Starbucks coffees If that 40 million came out of Bezos' own pocket, it's basically discretionary spending ... so it doesn't matter if the movie stinks. Its an oh-well for him.
