Sad to say I'm not convinced #DaredevilBornAgain is actually a good show. I really like the characters and actors and intentions, but it's just not coming together for me.
I think part of the problem is that they assume you have watched the old Netflix series and don't need to spend any time with the characters to understand their motivations, that having them show up on screen is enough. It isn't...

I've watched the old shows many times over and this show feels rushed by comparison. Only some of the new charactes get a slow treatment that explains the evolution of their behaviour, such as Mayor Fisk's delightfully sleazy assistants, or the CIA guy.

@carkner I think I agree with you. Fisk's relationship with Vanessa is a good example. If you didn't watch the first series, then some of the impact in how Vanessa has evolved is lost. Same with Karen too, who I feel has had one of the most incredible character development arcs in the entire MCU.
