@virtuosew I've been running my own for more than a year now (iirc), and it's been super-low-maintenance. It just works. I run it in docker, and updates are supersmooth.
Of course, you could go to one of the servers that everyone else uses (makertube comes to mind), but that sort of defeats the whole 'fediverse is centralised' thing :)

@gmc Yes, true. I think I'd rather be on another instance to begin with, especially as I have two different use cases to consider!
