@db @kentlew @letterror From my own experience, I’d say it takes about 2–3 years in a 3 bin system to get a considerable worm population. Some horse dung seems to have helped in my case, too.
Never had as many as my grandparents, though. Their compost has been sitting in the same place for decades. That’s it.
