Re last: Christ, every country is jumping on this bandwagon. Remember folks, its not about the children. It was never about the children. How do you ban underage people from anything online? Make every person categorically prove their age. If you think that identifiable data is going away after use, you're hopelessly naive. So how about we make parents actually just...act like parents for once? Source: I'm a data privacy lawyer.

  • @bermudianbrit@mastodon.online Also, how to make kids want something more? ban it How to make them more vulnerable? Make them do things in secret so you are unable to help them when they need it. The world has gone fucking loopy!

@bermudianbrit@mastodon.online For 30 years I have been saying that the answer is not to install filters, or ban access - it's to move the bloody computers into family space, where they can be observed, and proper discussions and education carried out.
