@checkervest sometimes they'll find something meticulously patterned and speculate about the reason that one section has the pattern a little wrong
As someone who's painted patterns all I can think is, they hoped no one would notice that part was wrong

@Louisa right!! I spend so much time trying to smooth away any fingerprints and rough edges on my little guys because they stress me out and the oldest ceramic figurine we have has a fingerprint on the back, I bet that person fired it and thought “well DAMN” when they saw it because I have so been there
