@pollita half of the reply people here seem to miss that the low quality problem is not unique to github. It's the new normal everywhere thanks to AI. Leaving github does not fix it. Also, not accepting PRs is like not hiring juniors. How are we going to get experienced good developers into the projects when we shut the door in their faces?

@pollita @bagder The backdoor is still open. Sadly most people don't know about it. And when people know about it, AI will alao know about it... Yes! I *am* refering to `git format-patch` and `git am` And yes! Explaining that to a junior *is* a challenge! (To most seniors as well though 🙈)

@bagder @pollita On the other hand, GitHub has allowed me to disable every other tab on a project but the Code and PR tabs for a long time. It seems fair to extend that to PRs. I don't mind having my code mirrored on GitHub, but seeing as I haven't logged on in half a year or so, disabling PRs and providing a way to contact me that doesn't end up in the void seems like the fair thing to do. (Not that I maintain any project of note at the moment)
