@staustellsimon @tdp_org as an air cadet I spent a week on base in 1983. Nimrod, Canberra, a US detachment of some
sort (just troops) and my first experience of firing the SLR on the range there. Our sergeants got to try pistols too.

@gulfie @tdp_org nice! I was lucky enough to go in to the USAF base part once as I worked with an American who’s husband was based there.
