there's a guy who does a lot of business mentoring in liverpool.
one of my favourite phrases from him is money doesn't buy you happiness but no money doesn't buy you fuck all.
with today's poverty discourse, it's one of those things that keeps coming back to me.
it's shit being poor and i don't miss it. but it's also shit being around people who are alien to that kind of trauma.

(leon mccowan if you're interested, first business was selling cigarettes in school, second was fetching people's golf balls from the water at the city corporation golf course. real guy as far as possible from the bullshit of entrepreneurial culture you see on TV)
