In part it's a personal decision to play that role. For example, sometimes I ask colleagues who clearly promote AI to stop other times I ignore them, sometimes I may even offend them. My point I guess is that not everyone can and should do everything, but also that in healthy activist spaces like 3/

the students in the encampments, which have achieved amazing things even if ties have not yet been cut, make deep compromises correctly while other times draw very strict lines. This is the same for AI. I try my hardest to avoid using these systems, but also sometimes engage with people who do. 4/
