@billinkc@beige.party The best manager I ever had offered me a job in Redmond in 2017. Even had me come out to the campus during PASS that year and hang out for the day. The review process and forced attrition (plus Seattle weather, ugh) basically nixed the entire thing for me, even though I'd have had nothing to worry about with him. Knowing that my life had already imploded once by then, (and another time since) I didn't want a bad year or two to lead me to a job search on top of it.
