I often see the sentiment the picture produced by modern lenses often feel 'clinical', 'synthetic' or 'soulless'.
While vintage lenses produce 'warm', 'full-of-character', 'charming' images.
This might entirely be solely because images made with 'perfect' lenses might be more difficult to read.

Dumbass example: A "picture" of a glowing sphere against a dark background. A - "perfect" lens B - "imperfect" lens You'd probably agree that picture 'B' is a better depiction of a "light emitting sphere' Even though the centre of 'A' RGB values are higher.
