@Wen I've used the Garmin app training plans with some success but having the awareness to say "no, not doing that" is essential with these things. AI does not know better than you do what you're capable of and if your knee/ankle/calf/hip/hamstring/Achilles - I remember Strava punting a free trial of their premium features and found the "AI insights" thing utterly moronic.

@Wen After years of unstructured running, I have experimented with a Runna marathon plan this year (currently on week 13/21). I must admit I've found it very useful. This will be my 9th marathon so I'd overrule it if necessary. I'm using it for motivation and to suggest workouts that I don't naturally do (e.g. hill repeats). Not saying this to contradict the article but to give another perspective. I suspect ChatGPT advice for running is a lot worse than Runna’s.
