    In Glasgow for a couple of days so a change of scene for my morning run. I guess the weather is always like this here?

    I’m getting up tomorrow morning at the same time that I went to bed last night! We’ve booked ourselves on the 4:30 Dawn Chorus walk with Sustainable Kirriemuir. The weather looks good, albeit cold (1°C). Let’s hope the birds have got the memo. #sustainableKirriemuir #dawnChorus #angus

    A mini-adventure day. Train to Arbroath and then run back to Dundee along the beautiful coastal path (Sustrans R1). Sun, hail and a ferocious head wind. Finished off with an oat Cortado at Heather Street Foods. 4 weeks until Strathearn marathon. I’m feeling worriedly prepared.

    The overlap between me being wealthy enough to afford as many bacon sandwiches as I want and thinking that bacon sandwiches are a good idea or, even, something I wanted was astonishingly small. I think I missed a window of hedonism.

    A final wander round Lerwick after a week on Fetlar, Unst and Lerwick. Next: the 14 hour ferry back to Aberdeen via Kirkwall. Lots to see on Shetland! Fingers crossed for a whale sighting from the ferry. #Shetland #Lerwick
