Though this just made me wonder if “robin” is an actual scientific group, and it looks like the answer is “no”.

But also, the American Robin is a thrush, and every other robin seems to be much smaller. Though maybe not the fish that’s called a robin; I didn’t check its size.

@gannet just to be completely different, I think this is the only robin I've ever seen in person https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_yellow_robin . Definitely the only kind of robin I've seen while having a bird book or app at hand to check what it is. Very cute little rainforest bird 💛
