I guess the real problem in that area is (as so often) out of scope of the neighbourhood renewal - there's what amounts to a highway cutting through the middle of the area, in Rossdale road and Bellamy Hill road / 104 st.
Not sure how to fix it - maybe widen Rossdale road so it's bidirectional, and stop sending southbound Bellamy Hill road traffic onto 104, so it becomes just a neighbourhood street?

@dragonfrog @taprootyeg Not sure that's the answer especially given that they only just narrowed Rossdale Rd recently to cut down on traffic in the neighbourhood. The real answer, for which CoE has a draft plan floating out there for though I don't know where it is at now nor if it will ever see the light of day now, is to narrow 97 Ave by at least one lane in each direction, as well as the widths of the remaining lanes.
