@bestiaexmachina I love it! Also there is something beyond the lowtech in this. The fact that its not just ads tracking you, its not just the ads trying to get your attention. Its ALSO the displeasure of seeing them that creates the need to block them

@ohyran @bestiaexmachina That's what started it. The flashing banners, the "watch this ad before continuing",:and above all the dishonest popups with hidden close buttons. That's when adblockers became popular. Way before Google selling your data or anything.
