I hated Voyager because they instantly threw away the entire premise of the show after the pilot and made it TNG but over there. I can't tell you how excited I was by the premise with how daring the DS9 writers were becoming.
I wanted Chakotay to be untrustworthy or at least standoffish. I wanted the ship to be barely held together by Season 3. I wanted the crew to die off and have it mean something...that expertise is just gone now. No new officers out here.
I suffered through it until Seven was introduced, which I felt insulted by, and stopped regularly watching after that.

@DaveMasonDotMe That said I've met a whole bunch of people who have it as their favorite Trek. I don't get it. Nothing will ever top DS9 for me, but I've been so roundly disappointed by nearly everything produced by the current team that I figure its as good a time as any to give these shows a try again. And the new Voyager video game is A M A Z I N G, so I'm on kind of a Voyager kick right now anyway.
