@infosecdj What's your use case? Because libjpeg-turbo is so fast that you don't need either -- unless you mean *very* specific scenario.

@branch300bpm Writing images close to the size limit of jpegs, where the raw source is already close to 16GB. Can't afford making more buffers, won't agree to running only one thread on a 12-core machine.
