Of all my loathing of Apple's Liquid Glass, this video was an aha of understanding why UI unification across platforms was prudent.
(Which I'm all for, I just wished it was way better.)

@glass@typo.social counter-notion: Initial familiarity should not be confused with medium or long term usability or capability. — The idea being that while a familiar UI may get folks in the door, ultimately it’s a disservice to the user to inhibit or restrain the platform’s potential due to the constraints of another. Ideally what we want is a UI that is true to the context in which it is presented, and REALLY good data interop between the platforms.

@glass I thought we had that pre-LG. iOS 18 et al were unified on an ultimate version of the flat aesthetic. It was just the Vision Pro, the headset no one bought, that was the exception.
