running my own FreeBSD based home router has been one of the best choices in the last 10 years. Is it overkill? yes Have I completely overdone it by running chef on there and have a whole pull request based deployment flow for config? also yes Is it still one of the few things that keep me excited about technology? an ecstatic third yes
