@Hundstrasse On the Spectrum, the file header has the number of the next BASIC line to execute, that might be the same for the ZX81.

@tsturm it must be something like that. I've tried poking the 'current line' with a value and it didn't work. There is a mysterious flags variable in the system variables and I have a hunch that it's set there, but I can't find any information about it. 🤷 Not important really, thanks for the suggestions.
