ahh okay, no, only the crappy Intel NIC was indeed crashed, the crappy Realtek NIC was up and working fine. I thought that one was down due to having already forgotten what past me set up two days ago. when I say cognitive limitations due to environment are why it takes me so long to do anything, this is the type of thing I'm talking about.
