Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean there.
The first few hundred years cuneiform tablets overwhelmingly contained commercial and taxation records. As the notation was adapted by later cultures it was used to record diplomatic treaties & notes between rulers, and eventually what can really be called literature and history, some of which still exist, usually in fragments.

@qurlyjoe @OctaviaConAmore @obfusk Writing it down on more durable media enables for longer disruption without human-interacting transmission. Better disruption tolerance. Those tablets successfully conveyed data that long outlived its original civilization.
