I’m glad other autistic people are connecting to this post. I remember really loving the movie “Splash” as a child. And I was just thinking about her today. And I was going… that mermaid was really autistic in my memory. I wonder if she is autistic. And then I looked her up.

@Energetic_Nova @autistics The thing that has always got me about this. Is that for a female child, in the sixties/early seventies, it was extremely rare to be diagnosed as autistic. She must have been so extreme in her presentation, to have been.
