@cflynnbooks Lots shared in Old English and proto Germanic with near neighbours. It seems to coincide with family introductions (like Bairn) Alsjeblieft seems more related to "as you please" rather than "here you go". I think it is more to do with sailors and traders going home at the end of trip to the particular family that is an easy downwind trip more than actual migration.
