Now that I'm a shill for Big Bike™️: Friends don't let friends (or anyone, even enemies) buy hub-motor electric bikes. ...actually, it's not really the consumer's fault. If you're a decision maker at a bicycle manufacturer and don't kill every hub motor proposal with fire, it is *your* fault. "Consumer demand" be damned.
