@MattMoose It's not widespread, and it's not going to solve the problem in the short term... but there are some co-op initiatives focused on building/buying shared living spaces to offer them at sustainable & affordable prices.
Some of them have been successful already; in Spain, specifically in Catalonia, we have some interesting examples.

@castarco Thankyou. Yes, I'm very cooperative minded, and sharing costs and pooling resources can be amazing. I lived communally for 3 years in London, which had more gains than losses. :)
