@johngreenwritesbooks@threads.net Its important when we see the acute harms caused by the loss of USAID we don't ignore the capacity that US foreign aid provided to various states. This historically was probably most visible in public health which PBS is rightly showcasing but we shouldn't ignore things such as MCC which I actually have zero idea what has happened to https://www.mcc.gov/blog/. Food aid is the easiest to understand (and very important) but a lot of the aid was less direct in addressing poverty
