I spent $300 more on a recent trip, simply to avoid transiting through the USA. And I'm a straight, old white guy - it's just not worth the risk. Plus fighting the stupid tariff punishments for no reason.
Very rich, very powerful government. Poor disenfranchised peoples. No medical system and the most encarcerated people on the planet.
If it wasn't so sad to witness, the difference between their hollywood/MSM propaganda and the reality would be a good movie on its own.
No. Will never visit again.
I feel sorry for every-day USians.

@gemlog I struggle to feel sorry for all US citizens when millions voted multiple time for him, and millions didn’t even bother to vote. It’s a symptom of a violent, religious, poorly educated society with an outdated, corruptible electoral system. The current administration are much the same as the old ones, now they stopped being polite and say the quiet things loudly. They need real change, otherwise, Trump-like characters will continue being birthed. As a Brit, I fear we’re on the same path.
