I wonder who will resurrect the ASSv5 project. I have some suggestions: Let's use a better name.It can be funny, fine, but the ass joke got old. Klass? Better Unified Timed Text? B. Instead of event types per dialogue line, keep a style field and THEN put the event type on the style It reflects the way people currently organise subtitles, dialogue on their own styles — main, mainalt, top — and typesetting on their own separate styles. Also, style not being a dialogue line tag would require lots and lots of overloads, which has just plain weird and harder to develop tooling around. #development #foss #subtitles #accessibility
