@mpe @mike Yeah, we’re also struggling with this. But what if markdown would not be the user-visible file format, but just the version-controllable format the editorial system sees?

@felwert @mpe That's not bad. When I think of a somewhat simplified word processor like the one in Google Docs, it's easy enough to imagine (almost) all its output being expressible as Markdown. But I bet people would complain about all the missing features they're used to from MS-Word.
