Side-note, since upgrading my well-established desktop from Pop!_OS 22.04 to 24.04 removed basically all of my packages and software, there's now no reason for me not to restore my /home directly on top of Debian there either. I expect I'll do that, and move all of my systems to a standard setup.
Which, now that I think of it, would be an ideal use case for NixOS..... no. No.

@trisweb can't agree more. I've tried many distros, but going "back" to #debian always feel like moving forward. Its so stable, and if I meet a hurdle, the gigantic and helpful community is always there to help with an actually simple solution!
