I have tuned the everloving SHIT out of my #3dPrinter and I'm still getting rough surface layers starting at layer 4 through about 15ish. I've calibrated e-steps and pressure advance, leveled with a feeler gauge, pulled my z-offset up and down, decreased my flow ratio, increased my flow ratio, slowed down, sped up, hotter, colder... I'm so close to just chucking this thing into the garage and coming back to it in a year. #3dPrinting

@julie My first thought was: what changes at layer 4? My second thought: the filament comes under tension as it begins turning the spool. I don't know what your setup looks like; on mine I would check for binding/ resistance in the filament path, perhaps ptfe has become notched from -cf filaments or a pinch point somewhere.

@julie This is why I opted to buy a Bambu Lab P1S. No faffing around, it just works! 😁
