@nik @daandemeyer @pid_eins but in either case this is an extra flag that you need to append to the command to use this non-standard behavior, so I don't think it's an undue risk and I think it makes sense to describe using it as a conscious choice
Personally, having to chown files I created with sudo is a constant frustration so I'm quite excited to get my hands on this (2/2)

@jenbanim @daandemeyer @pid_eins It somewhat depends how the flag will be documented in the end. If it is documented as "run as root, preserving file ownership" or so, it might be ok, but if the documentation somehow suggests the flag is safer than plain run0, it's bad.
