I have a copy of Godzilla Minus Zero on DVD. I’d like to rip it to my file server. HandBreak reliably stops encoding at ~49 minutes in and acts like it’s succeeded. I’ve never seen that before. Any ideas?

@a I have a number of dvds that I can’t rip with handbrake… I think they put some “phantom movies” onto the disk, basically random selections of the various pieces, to thwart scoundrels like you & me. After fighting with it for a while, I said screw it and just copied the entire dvd as an iso file. It’s bigger, but vlc can handle it just fine, and I don’t care much about the size increase.

@a Check out MakeMKV. Only software I know that will rip property. So good I bought a licence a while back. It has a free beta. Handbrake is more for file size reduction or encoding. Doesn't do a very good job ripping.
