@delta The lack of any app-level or profile-level password does mean that the OS-level security is what you get in ways of blocking other's access to your DC profiles.
Is that by design? Are there plans to address this?

@mtrigo@mastodon.social it's usually better to find a phone-wide solution to protecting individual app access. Moreover, there are many real-world threats where an app lock does not help at all, unfortunately. FWIW you can backup your account to a file, store it remotely, delete Delta Chat, and and re-instate it all later when needed and safe again. @mtrigo @delta on iOS at least you can long-press any app and require passcode or Face ID / Touch ID
