One of the best analyses of the sad state of the Internet that I recently read is Cory Doctorow's "How to destroy surveillance capitalism": https://craphound.com/category/destroy/ It might be a timely read, too! It has some good explanations on why so many of us are still participating in destructive platforms like Facebook and Twitter, why they are such hellholes and what that has to do with monopolies.
