    @Tak I had it in a laptop with 56 MB RAM. The design was very polished but it was also really slow. In the end I switched it to Damn Small Linux and it worked much better.

    @Tak Unfortunately, Windows 98 did have ads. In the start menu, and on the desktop :( Desktop ads were in the form of an Active Desktop widget thing. In the start menu, you had ads for various different ISPs, and some versions had McAfee VirusScan included too (my copy definitely has it as a feature) Much easier to turn off than in Windows 11, though! And at the end of it you still get good ol' 98 and all its desktop themes.
